Relationship with Jesus Christ

by | |

Good Afternoon friends:

Today truly is the day the Lord has made; we are grateful for his love and kindness and the many blessings he continues to shine on each of us. Our heavenly Father is standing at the door of our hearts knocking, he wants to have a one on one, personal relationship with us. There are those who are seeking acceptance through the things of this world, not realizing the only true acceptance we need is from our heavenly Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He created us for this purpose. With his still small voice, he calls each of us by name, telling us he loves us, and he is our first love. He understands the void many of us are feeling in our hearts, searching for something or someone to fill it. Jesus wants us to give him a try, he is the only one who can truly fill that void. Many are using sex, drugs, and alcohol to numb the pain and fill the void they feel inside of them. They also feel they are falling down a seemingly endless pit of anguish. Jesus wants us to open the doors of our hearts and let him in. He is the only one that can take away the hurt and pain and remove the anguish many are feeling inside. He will fill the void with his everlasting love, that will never go away. In Jeremiah 17:7-10 we read: “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings”

Fear is gripping the hearts and souls of many; their hearts are failing them as we see violence around the world. This is the reason why we need to run to the only one that can keep us safe in these storms of life. He is always here for each of us, he loves us more than we can imagine. His love for us is unconditional. He is the only one who can understand the hurt and pain we go through. Jesus will never leave nor forsake us, although many may feel they are alone, and no one seems to care for them. As we place our trust in him, he will show us that he is a shelter in the mist of our storm. Jesus says these words in, “Revelation chapter 3:20 “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” Those who are tired of living a life of pain, Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart, and he is waiting for you to open it. As you do, he will come into your heart, and fill it with his unconditional love. His love is everlasting, he will never leave nor forsake you.

To those who have strayed away from him, he knows our hearts cry. He is not too far that he can’t hear it. He continues to knock at the door of our hearts, he will save us from the shadow of death. Return to him with a fervent heart. Open your heart to him, holding nothing back, and he will receive you. He is our first love, and he knows all about us. We can’t hide anything from him, because he is all knowing, anyway. Now is the time to repent, tomorrow may be too late.
